Den Haag, 21 March 2007 – In the aftermath of Europe’s 50th anniversary, the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy celebrates the launch of the book ‘Democracy; Europe’s Core Value?’ On Monday 26 March, the first copy of the book will be presented to the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Maxime Verhagen.

Last December 6-7, Italian liberals from the ALDE group in the European Parliament organised the meeting 'Democracy Promotion: The European Way'.
